ACT Carers Charter Community Consultation Report
After broad community consultation in 2010, the report on the consultation process and outcomes of consultation has been finalised. A copy of the consultation report is available. The ACT Carers Charter will now be developed to reflect the needs of the wide variety of carers in the ACT, as discussed by the community consultation process.

Vocational Employment Strategy
ACT Community Services Directorate (CSD) has terrific opportunities for social workers and psychologists to work with children and young people.
The vocational employment strategy (VES) is a CSD initiative designed for students in their final year (or near to final year) of psychology or social work studies, to gain work experience in semester breaks.
The program also encourages participants to consider further employment with CSD once they have obtained their qualifications.

The Red Tape Review
The Community Services Directorate engaged Minter Ellison Consulting to review administrative and regulatory requirements that apply to non-profit organisations in the ACT. The aim of the Review was to identify any areas of unnecessary compliance burden that may be modified, reduced or removed to assist the efficiency and viability of the non-profit sector in the ACT. The Report of the Review of Administrative Requirements of Non-profit Organisations in the ACT 2008 and the ACT Government's response to the report is now available.
