The Office of Multicultural Affairs promotes multiculturalism in the ACT by providing strategic advice to the Minister responsible for multicultural affairs on issues affecting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The Office of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Affairs provides strategic advice to the Chief Minister on issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the ACT. The Office coordinates a whole-of-government approach to issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents and provides secretariat and administrative support to the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body, United Ngunnawal Elders Council and is working with the Centre management to develop a cultural program of activities for 2008.
