Community Language School Grants Program
In 2012 the ACT Government approved new arrangements for the funding of Language Grants. The Government has decided to combine funding previously provided for the ACT Languages Grant Program and the Schools Language Grants Program into one single program. This new program is now known as the Community Language Schools Grants Program and is administered by the ACT Community Language Schools Association. The ACT Government’s Community Language Schools Grants Program enhances the ACT community through the continuing support of community language schools, preschools and playgroups in the Canberra region.
Any registered member school, preschool or playgroup of the ACT Community Language Schools Association is eligible to apply for this funding. The school is required to be non-profit making and either incorporated, or in the process of becoming incorporated. If not incorporated, the applicant must be auspiced by an incorporated organisation.
Funding for projects that facilitate the learning of languages other than English, and which are not otherwise eligible for funding under the Community Language Schools Grants Program, should now be submitted under the annual Multicultural Grants Program funding round.
