Practice Talking 2008

Practice Talking celebrates the diverse range of front line workers who work with children, youth, families and communities in the ACT and region. These professionals hold ideas and knowledge that is rarely shared outside the individual’s workplace. The Practice Talking Conference provides an opportunity to celebrate practice wisdom by providing a forum for workers, from both the government and non-government sector, to share and exchange ideas from their practice and to learn from one another.

Practice Talking is a partnership between the Office for Children, Youth and Family Support and the Australian Catholic University .

This year’s Working Committee members are: Frank Duggan, Satnam Singh, Rob Baker, Marilyn Graham, Joanna Zubrzycki, Jodie O’Brien, Anita Chettur, Don Burt, Roy Lepper, Mark Baldwin, Robyn Brodie-Reid and Linda O’Connell.

The Working Committee also has valued assistance from: Felicity Burns, Nadia Carstensen, Emma Stewart and Toni Hazlewood.

Call for Registrations for Attendance

Practice Talking 2008 will be a one-day event held at the Australian Catholic University on Tuesday, 28 October 2008 between 8:30am and 4:30pm.

The theme this year is 'What Works?' in terms of practice. 

You are invited to join us for Practice Talking.  The cost is $50.00 (GST inclusive).
