What is the Ministerial Advisory Council for Ageing?

The ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on Ageing (MACA) was formed in July 2002. The key role of MACA is to assist the ACT Government in ensuring that the needs of older Canberrans are met.

ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on ageing call for nominations

The ACT Office for Ageing is seeking new members for the 2008-2010 ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on Ageing. The ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on Ageing is appointed by the Chief Minister to provide strategic advice on issues affecting older citizens in the ACT. 

Applications are invited from all members of the public who are able to demonstrate commitment to the advancement of positive ageing, a sound knowledge of the interests and concerns of older Canberrans and an ability to consult and represent on a wide range of issues related to ageing. Members will be selected for their expertise and experience in issues affecting ageing.
