Seniors' Grants Program (2007-2008)

The 2007/8 ACT Government Seniors Grants were awarded to nine organisations for activities and projects that would:

  • create a better understanding or ageing in the community (promotionof positive ageing);
  • encourage older Canberran's to maintain and enhance their connections to the broader community; and
  • encourage seniors maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

Sense able Leisure

Teaches blind or vision impaired seniors how to use remaining vision, to develop new skills and new approaches to lifelong learning

Communities@Work

Tuggeranong 55 Plus Club

To establish an active seniors club that will support seniors within the Tuggeranong region.

Goodwin Aged Care Services

Forever Young

A fitness program for people over the age of 60 living in Goodwin's retirement villages.

Migrant Resource Centre of Canberra and Queanbeyan Inc

The Seniors Exchange Program

Reducing seniors' isolation through interactions with the younger Canberra community.

The Australian National University

Music Education Program Seniors' Training Program

Recruits active seniors for training in the Music Education Program

The Retired ACT Transport Employees Club Inc.

Out and About

To further expand the regular and special social activities of the club for the benefit of it's members.
