2008/09 ACT Seniors Grants Program

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The ACT Seniors Grants Program is an ACT Government initiative that provides funding assistance to develop projects that support positive ageing and address social isolation among older people in the ACT. A total of $85,000 is available.

Applications are invited for individual grants of up to $15,000 for projects that:

• encourage and support older Canberrans to participate in community activities;
• encourage and support older Canberrans to share their skills and knowledge with others; and/or   
• encourage and support relevant community groups and organisations to build their capacity to provide services to older Canberrans and to include them in their decision making

Application packages are available below, by phoning the ACT Office for Ageing on 6205 3113 or 6205 5365, or by emailing communitypolicy@act.gov.au

The Office for Ageing will conduct public information sessions before the closing date. Details are in the Application Guidelines, or call 6205 3113 or 6205 5365 to register.

Applications close at 5.00pm on Monday 20 October 2008.
