Review of ACT Government Concessions
The Department of Disability, Housing and Community Services is undertaking a Review of ACT Government Concessions.
Review of ACT Government Concessions - Terms of Reference
The review will examine and report findings in relation to:
- the nature of, and access to, information available to the community about the ACT Concessions Program;
- models for the funding of concessions across the ACT Government'
- a comparative analysis of government concessions across Australia;
- consultation with the community, providers and other ACT Government Departments;
- financial modelling to analyse the "real value" of concessions to individuals and families;
- existing reimbursement and administrative arrangements, including their efficiency and the introduction of provider assessment fees;
- policy outcomes delivered by the ACT Government Concessions Program and those across the ACT Government;
- links between the ACT Government Concessions Program and the Financial and Material Aid Program;
- trends in high volume processing undertaken by providers and the Department; and
proposals for cyclical administrative reviews of the ACT Government Concessions Program.
A report of the review will be tabled to the ACT Legislative Assembly in early 2008.
