Water rebate

The ACT Government provides a rebate on water charges. There is a maximum rebate of 68% per quarter. The property to which the account relates must be the sole or principle residence of the person applying for the rebate. The applicant must be listed as an owner or part owner with the Lands Titles Office. The rebate is applied to the supply charge only.

The percentage of ownership as per the Property Title will determine the percentage of concession.  For example if the eligible applicant owns 50% of the property then they will be eligible for 50% of the available concession.

Who is eligible?

Holders of the following cards are eligible for the rebate: Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card, Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card, Veteran’s Affairs Pensioner Concession Card, DVA Gold Card holders and asylum seekers.

How to apply?

Call ActewAGL and apply over the phone. Alternatively, a rebate application form is available on the ActewAGL Website to print and post in www.actewagl.com.au External Link To assist in fast processing, have your current pensioner card close by.
