The ACT Women's Plan 2010-2015

The Minister for Women, Joy Burch MLA launched the  ACT Women's Plan 2010-2015 on 31 March 2010.
The Plan is a strategic framework to assist the ACT Government work with the community to improve the
status and lives of women and girls in the ACT.

ACT Government Directorates will report against benchmarks to measure progress against the ACT Women’s Plan.

Our responsibility: Ending Violence against women and children

The ACT  Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Strategy 2011-2017 was launched on 22 August 2011.  The Strategy lays the foundation for a shift in how we as a community view and respond to violence against women.

Partners in Prevention Function

The inaugural Partners in Prevention Function held on 26 November 2012 at the National Press Club encouraged business, community and government leaders to discuss and brainstorm strategies to address violence against women in the ACT.
