The ACT Government has a number of initiatives which provide financial assistance to individuals and groups for activities that improve the status of ACT women.
ACT Women's Grants
One-off funding of up to $15,000 is available to assist community groups for projects that improve the status of ACT women.
ACT Return to Work Grants
Financial support, information and resources are available to women returning to the paid workforce after childcare responsibilities.
Women's Directors Scholarships
Company director training scholarships are offered annually to undertake courses to ACT women who are currently in, or who aspire to undertake decision-making roles.
Audrey Fagan Post Graduate Scholarships
A $20,000 scholarship is available to encourage ACT women to further their studies and professional development in the areas of law enforcement, care and protection, or professional support services for women who are victims of violence, and to encourage the retention of skills within the ACT community.
ACT Government Audrey Fagan Churchill Fellowship
An annual $30,000 fellowship is available to women pursuing an overseas investigative project in areas related to law enforcement, care and protection, or professional support services for women who are victims of violence.
Audrey Fagan Young Women's Enrichment Grants
Enrichment Grants of up to $2,000 will provide young women aged 13-18 years with an opportunity to receive financial support to further their interests in a porticular area and to participate in a mentoring relationship.
Information on other ACT Government Grants
The 2009-10 round of the ACT Women's Grants Program closed on 7 December 2009. A total of $100,000 will be available in this round. The applications are being assessed prior to an announcement by the Minister for Women in April 2010.
Successful applicants will receive funding under the following two categories:
Special Projects: Up to $15,000 per project is available to support activities that contributing to public policy, service development for the benefit of women or add to the research base and progress one or more of the following six objectives of the ACT Women's Plan:
Capacity Building: Up to $3,000 per project is available to support activities that strengthen the capacity of community organisations and their contribution to women in the ACT community.

The ACT Women's Return to Work Grants Program is an ACT Government initiative providing women returning to the paid workforce with financial assistance, information and resources to assist them to reach this goal.
Individual grants of up to $1,000 are available to women who have been absent from the workforce for more than 12 months due to child care responsibilities, and who meet the program criteria.

The ACT Women's Director Scholarships Program is an ACT Government initiative that aims to develop the skills and knowledge of women who are currently in, or who aspire to undertake decision-making roles.
The Program is an action of the ACT Women's Plan and aims to work towards achieving a culture of equal representation and recognition of women.
