Women's Information and Referral Centre (WiRC) is a confidential and free ACT Government service, which provides information and referral to support women in making informed choices and achieving self-determination.
The Centre was established as a Shopfront Service in 1978. It is part of the Community Services Directorate under the Office for Women.

Information and Referral Service - Telephone drop in or email WiRC for information and/or referral to appropriate services.
Women's Return to Work Grants - Provides women returning to work after childcare responsibilities to the paid workforce with financial, information and resources to reach this goal.
Lending Library - A small but comprehensive collection of books and resource material relating to women and women's issues.
Free computer and internet access services.
Personal development courses for women - Topics include assertiveness and self esteem, understanding stress and anger, and effective communication skills. Other courses are conducted according to demand and emerging needs. Cost involved.

Thinking Thursdays - Lunchtime sessions on current issues of interest to women.

Women and/or their family members are welcome to use the service. Some services and groups are for women only.
